Dr Libby is a Brisbane-based specialist in Paediatric Allergy, Immunology and Immunopathology. She provides care for children with all forms of allergy including food, drug and environmental allergy. She also diagnoses and manages other atopic conditions such as eczema, asthma, and generalised urticaria. Dr Libby performs skin prick and intradermal testing, and supervises food and drug challenges. She offers allergen immunotherapy for the treatment of allergic rhinitis.
Dr Libby also manages other disorders of the immune system including primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, autoinflammatory disorders, eosinophilic oesophagitis and hereditary angioedema. As an immunopathologist she has a particular interest in the diagnosis of rare inborn errors of immunity.
As a paediatric allergist and immunologist, Dr Libby has a particular focus on allergies in infancy and early childhood. She understands that allergies change as a child grows. Dr Libby has a warm and friendly nature, and puts an emphasis on shared decision making and family-centred care.
Dr Libby is a person living with food allergy herself, and also has two young children with eczema and asthma. She has personal experience managing allergies and understands the impact they can have on family life.
